Hat And Mitten Drive Was A Success!
The Hat and Mitten Drive hosted by the Confirmation Class was a success! Thank you to all who participated from both the Parish and the School! In total we collected 117 pairs of mittens/gloves, 183 hats and 65 other related winter items (scarves, coats, etc). Everything has been brought to Sharing and Caring Hands and they were pleased to receive all the winter gear at just the right time! Good job, 8th graders for collecting at Lessons and Carols, making announcements at School, collecting from friends and neighbors, wrapping collection boxes and making the final count! This was a great way to actively learn about one of the Corporal Works of Mercy! Check out this fun picture of the first graders posing with all we collected!
Marker Monday- Thank You!
Thank you to all of our Marker families who came out and enjoyed Marker Monday at Augustine's this week! A special thank you to Kadi Groppoli for organizing the event. We appreciate your ongoing support!
New Marker Video Is Out!
The new Saint Mark’s video is out and needs to be shared! Please click here to watch Welcome, Leo. Our friends at makeyourname.co did a great job once again, and really pulled in just about every student in the school! We are confident you will love it, and we need you to share it with your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues! Tell them about us, and encourage them to call for a tour! Thank you for supporting your child’s school in this extremely important way.
Choosing A Catholic Highschool
Fr. Bill Baer, Pastor of Transfiguration Catholic Church and School in Oakdale is inviting all Catholic parents to the second annual event of "Choosing a Catholic High School: The Beauty of an Authentic Catholic High School Education.”
The Archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul is focused on ensuring that our schools have a Catholic culture that forms students in the dignity of the human person and a Catholic view of our world, including Truth, Beauty and Goodness, and would love for as many families to make the event as possible.
The last day of school is Wednesday, December 20th. School will resume on Thursday, January 4th.
Email notifications for a low balance in lunch accounts were temporarily disabled, however they are up and running again. If your lunch account balance is below $15.00, an email notification will be sent as a reminder to deposit funds into the account. You have the option to pay lunch accounts online, which show up immediately in your account. You may write a check, but please keep in mind that checks will take several days to show up in your account.

Middle School Camp
This coming summer all middle school students from Saint Marks will have the opportunity to be part of Extreme Faith Camp! This is a Catholic week-long camp that has taken place for the past 5 years in this diocese. This year, Saint Mark's has a spot in the camp! Along with all the fun activities from a normal camp, the kids have the opportunity to attend daily Mass, Adoration, Confession and each day they receive a faith-centered mini talk! All of these elements make this camp a powerful experience and a great opportunity to encounter the Lord!
This will take place on June 25th to the 29th, 2018 at Camp Courage in Maple Lake. The cost of the camp is $375, but we will have a couple of fundraising activities to lower that cost or help those who want to attend but can't afford it.
During the camp, the housing accommodation is done by the parish. There will be boys and girls in different areas of the camp and each parish is required to bring at least two adults (volunteer parents) as chaperones. High school students will also be there to help with the small groups. In our case, some sisters and brothers will also be attending.
-Boys and girls, 1st through 8th grade
-All skill levels welcome
-Season starts Jan 18 and ends the first week of April (the practice schedule is available from Greg Neary or Patrick Bowlin).
-Practices will take place twice a week at the Hamline University pool
The annual gala is coming up on February 3rd. The theme this year is Masquerade Ball! Be on the look out for invitations and more information coming soon!
