Cafeteria Volunteers Needed
Our Hot Lunch Program is in need of more volunteers! We are so grateful for the help we have received in the cafeteria so far this year from parents and grandparents! For more information and to sign up please click here. Thank you!

New Incentive Program
The last two years, Saint Mark’s offered the opportunity for k-8 families to save half of their registration fee by completing their registration by a specified date. This year, in lieu of that offer, Saint Mark's is offering tuition credit to current families who recommend a new family that completes a tour and another credit when a new family completes a tuition agreement. Details about the incentive are below.
• $50 credit to your tuition account when you recommend a family and they complete a tour with Mr. Zeckser or Mrs. Overhaug at Saint Mark's.
• $50 credit to your tuition account when you recommend a family and they complete a tuition agreement.
• No limit on the number of credits - the more the better!
• This incentive program replaces the discounted registration fee offered in the past. The goal is to share Saint Mark's with more students.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Zeckser or Mrs. Overhaug. You can expect a half-sheet flier in your children’s backpacks about this on Friday, January 12. Thank you for your support of our school! /p>

Lunch Accounts
If your lunch account balance is below $15.00, email notifications are sent to you as a reminder to deposit funds into the account. You have the option to pay lunch accounts online, which show up immediately in your account. You may write a check, but please keep in mind that checks will take several days to show up in your account. Thank you for keeping your children’s lunch accounts positive.

Financial Aid
Financial aid applications are open for the 2018-19 school year. The deadline for applications is February 15th. You will only need your 2016 taxes (2017 taxes are not needed) in order to apply. Please be certain to complete your application here by February 15.

18-19 Enrollment Information
The enrollment process for 2018-19 begins this month. You will soon receive re-enrollment information for next year. The following deadlines are in place:
Financial aid applications due: Feb 15
Financial aid awarded: March 15
Tuition agreements due: April 15

Cold Weather Information
Below are some friendly reminders about best practices for the chilly days that are upon us. Stay warm!

Be sure to dress appropriately - this includes snow pants, coats, mittens and hats. We go outside unless the temperature is lower than -10 degrees, or the wind chill is lower than -15 degrees. When the temp is lower than -10 degrees or the winchill is lower than -15 degrees, patrols will not be at the corners. Please help your child(ren) cross safely, especially on the coldest days.

Open Gym Tonight
Please note that there will be no open gym next Friday, January 12th.

Swim Team
A great tradition of personal and athletic growth is the Saint Mark’s swim team! Boys and girls in 1st through 8th grade are welcome to join, and while we have a great deal of talent, all skill levels are very welcome. The swim season starts Jan. 18 and ends the first week of April (the practice schedule is available from Greg Neary or Patrick Bowlin). Practices will take place twice per week at the Hamline University pool. For more information, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Saint Mark's Gala: Silent Auction Donations
Save the date and join us on February 3 for a Masquerade Ball featuring both a silent and live auction (as well as feasting, tended bar, gala games, dancing, and more). Saint Mark’s school families and parishioners have been incredibly generous with their silent auction donations, and we are confident that this trend will continue this year. Silent auction donation ideas include a themed basket of new items, gift cards to local restaurants, gift cards for a service, or tickets to cultural or sporting events. Bring your donation to the Saint Mark’s School office by Friday, January 19. At that time, you can fill out a donation form to include your basket in the auction catalog.
