Thursday, Nov. 16 2:30 to 6:30.

Please come by and check out all of the great books we have to offer! Additionally, the book fair is currently available online. Families are welcome to browse our online database. It is hard to overestimate the importance of children reading and being read to, so please consider some purchases at the book fair to help your children grow up in a world of reading! Thank you!

Volunteer Matching
We would like to thank 3M for partnering with Saint Mark's families through their Volunteer Match program, 3Mgives. Through this program, 3M donates to Saint Mark's based on employee volunteer hours given to the school. We invite all families to check in with their companies about possible volunteer matching opportunities like this. The Saint Mark's community appreciates your generous support!

Virtus Training
This is a friendly reminder that all parents will be required to complete a Virtus Training session by Fall of 2018. There are many places people can go for their trianing, and Saint Mark's will host another training coming up later this school year as well. For information on paperwork needed for Virtus Training, please click here. For information on signing up for a session, please click here.

Fall Conferences
Preschool conferences went very well with tremendous family participation! Thank you! K-8 fall conferences are coming up this week on November 14 and 16. All sign ups must be submitted by November 10. Fall conferences are required. Please click on our sign up pages below to do so:

The 7th Graders are offering babysitting during Fall Conferences as a fundraiser for their trip to Washington DC! It will be offered on Tuesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 16 from 3:30-6:30 pm. There will also be drop-in child care in the Rumpus Room while conferences are going on. Cost is $5 per child. Thank you for your support!

The Success Of Our Alumni
Our Alumni are up to great things! *De La Salle hosted an awards night on November 8 in which many Marker Alumni were honored for their academic success in high school so far. Faculty and staff at De mentioned that our students come to De from 1 out of 125 middle schools, and always stand out in the crowd. Please take a moment to check out this report containing the awards with which our Alumni were honored.

Additionally, De La Salle is hosting it's last open house for prospective students and families on Wednesday, January 17th. See below for all the details:

Prospective students for 2018-19 are invited to our final Open House for Prospective Families on Wednesday, January 17, from 7:00-9:00 p.m., and our Entrance Exam and Parent Seminar on Saturday, January 20, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Applications for the Class or 2022 are due by February 9 for the first or "early decision" round of admission review. Ninth grade registration day is February 24.

For more information about the Open House, "Islander for a Day" program, and admissions protocols - or simply to learn more about DeLaSalle, please "visit" us at or call me at 612-676-7679.
