State Cakes

Geography is sweet!

For more than 15 years, Saint Mark's has made learning geography fun and tasty.

Every May, our Fourth Grade students apply their studies of the United States by creating a cake for each state. There are a total 50 cakes cut out (using pre-drawn patterns) in the shape of each state.

The cakes are decorated with a variety of features - unique to each state - and assembled by a team of parent volunteers in Carolyn Hall. The result is a giant cake of the United States that is enjoyed by the entire school (including Preschool.)

State Cake Day is a treasured Saint Mark's tradition!
