Field Trips

“Do not let the classroom get in the way of your learning”. This old adage points to the unfortunate reality that many schools lack engaging, meaningful, and rigorous learning opportunities for students. The norm for Saint Mark’s teachers, however, is to bring the world into the classroom, and to bring the classroom into the world.

Special Programs

Saint Mark’s School, a Catholic IDEALS School, recognizes that many, perhaps most, schools offer very “ho-hum” pedagogy. Our staff, however, engages the students in a wide variety of ways. For the most part, this happens every day in each classroom. In addition to unique and interesting, what we call “purple cow”, curriculum, we also offer a variety of special programs for students to learn and grow. Some of these are part of traditions ongoing for years. Others, not described on this site, arise annually when opportunities present themselves.
