Grade 6-8 Science
What do you love most about your work?
I love teaching the wonder and curiosity behind Science. My passion is to get students thinking about Science and about the way things work. I continue to learn everyday and my hope is that students will to and always have the wonder to discover more.
What has being part of a faith-based community taught you?
Being part of a faith-based community has taught me to be a better person, always striving to do good to others. It has provided me with a 'second family' where I know I am continually supported; and has allowed me to grow spiritually on a daily basis.
What does being a Marker mean to you?
Being a Marker means that I am part of a long- standing, caring, wonderful Catholic community in St. Paul. I am thrilled to be part of a larger community with deep ties to the success of Catholic education.
Share a bit about yourself:
I have 7 years experience of teaching middle school Science in the traditional classroom as well as 2 years of experience teaching online Science courses to High School Students. I have a degree in Biology from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN and a Master's Degree from the University of St. Thomas in St.Paul, MN.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside - hiking, biking, canoeing and skiing with my husband and two daughters. I also enjoy spending time at the cabin and "soaking" in the solitude that nature provides.
