Saint Mark's believes that:
- Every child can succeed.
- Not every student needs the same set of circumstances or stimuli in order to succeed.
- Students can exceed at highter levels when their brains are engaged through various media.
- Success is measured by academic performance, but also (and at least as much) by growing in virtue and in "soft" life skills not often taught explicitly in schools.
It is this set of beliefs that has led Saint Mark's to pioneer the Catholic IDEALS model (Innovation, Differentiation, Enrichment, Activity, Leadership, and Spirituality) so that we can help all children reach their God-given potential and follow their own unique call to God's kingdom.
